ABOUT ME
I’m passionate about design and innovation. I was born in California, raised in the Pacific northwest, have traveled all over the world, and returned home to Portland in 2016 knowing that this is where I belong.
BACKGROUND
I’ve been designing products since 2006. Since then, I have been on staff at Keen and Vans shoes, I worked at two distinguished footwear design consultancies, and I have worked with multiple start-ups helping founders realize their vision.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Good design is pragmatic and functional. But a good design doesn’t just satisfy functional requirements, it must also visually communicate its purpose and invite use. It has to be exciting and contain elements of surprise. Good design also considers the impact of each product and makes every effort to improve sustainability in part and process.
